7 common plumbing problems in the bathroom

Most of us have some basic plumbing fixtures at home to deal with problems that occur unpredictably and exceptionally in bathroom plumbing – ΥΔΡΑΥΛΙΚΟΙ ΑΘΗΝΑ. It is common for minor damage to occur that we may be able to repair on our own, such as a clogged toilet bowl that will burst with the special suction cup and function properly again. Such minor repair work can be done easily if your hands get a little caught.

However, for the biggest problems hidden in the bathroom plumbing you will need professional help.

A great way to avoid costly repairs is a regular plumbing maintenance schedule. The “key” to detecting small problems before they cause other serious damage is to check the pipes and sewer in depth.

The most common problems in bathroom plumbing:

1. Low water pressure

The problem of low water pressure may be related to the water supply of your area network. But often, it can also be caused by the accumulation of sediment, so a tap cleaning can solve the problem.

If not, then there may be a more complicated problem. If you cannot determine the cause of the drop in water pressure, call the plumber immediately.

2. Leakage in the pipes

Leaks can be very costly and cause other more serious problems with building materials. Although leaking a leaking pipe is not a complicated task, it can be very frustrating at home. So, you may want to make an agreement for the total repair of the damage to save time and money on cleaning, removing materials, etc.

Until the plumber takes over, you can temporarily turn off the water supply to reduce leakage and not cause more damage to your home.

Today, with the help of the thermal camera, we can locate exactly the point of leakage, without digging all the surfaces and without incurring unnecessary expenses.

3. The toilet bowl is running

Replace the internal mechanism in the cistern. For most models, the ready-made mechanisms on the market work well. If you can’t do that, it’s best to call the plumber.

4. Clogged drains

If the water from the bathtub, sink or toilet does not drain, you may have a complete or partial blockage in the drain.

Often, the special suction cup can correct the problem, but it cannot completely remove a blockage. So, it is best to seek the help of a professional plumber to make a blockage, to avoid greater damage.

5. Slow bath drain

If the pipes are full of hair then the water is slow to leave the bathtub. Cleaning sewer pipes can solve this problem.

But even when the bathtub is drained properly, it is very important to regularly clean any leftovers, as they can completely block the piping and create bigger problems in the future.

6. The tap stops

A dripping faucet can be very annoying if you don’t know how to stop it. This will cost you the water bill. All sinks are equipped with rubber washers to effectively retain water flow.

In some there are durable ceramic rubber bands for waterproof sealing. Due to the natural wear and tear, at some point they will need to be replaced. If you can’t do it yourself, it’s best to call a plumber.

7. Smells in the sewers

If the drain in your bathroom smells bad, it may be due to the dry piping environment, damaged pipes, clogged drainage or the old toilet system.

Although there are some corrective actions to eliminate the odour, it is best to identify the exact damage behind the annoying odours and solve the problem permanently, contact your plumber.
